I think today was the "first" official day of summer break for the kids! Yesterday we worked all day at a friends house painting and rebuilding a garage, so today we just took it easy. After our morning chores we went to the Anderson's house for some play time. I got lucky as Shirley was just getting rid of some purses-I scored! Then we brought two of their kids home and played some games-Jared and I worked out -he set me up with a weight routine, I am so sore already! After we headed back to the Andersons for hot dogs and swimming. I had Oryx meat tonight for the first time, see the pic, it was not gamey at all, it was like a really tender steak. Jared drew an Oryx tag this year, so we will see if we get a freezer full! They are from Africa, several years ago someone brought two back and now they have hunts to reduce the population. They are pretty cool looking with VERY long horns, in fact, some of our friends designed their ceiling in their new house to accomodate the head! (lucky for me we have a garage!) Anyway, all in all it was a fun day!-Tonight, Cole came to me and said, "mom, I can speak spanish,"-"(he then said a bunch of nonsense words,) and then "Roberto!"-He is such a silly kid-
